Yeah, I'm backing Tim. Why on Earth would you want to do such a thing (unless
LAM doesn't build well with PGI 6, as alluded to by Ralf)?
Anyway, one possible (nasty, unsupported, may the maintainers damn me to Hell
for suggesting it) way forward would be to do everything initially with gcc.
Then a couple of mpif77/mpicc --showme's, translate that which requires
translating yourself and build your own mpif77/mpicc as a scripts or aliases
or something.
This approach would require a reasonably intimate knowledge (or willingness to
learn) of the libraries and flags for both compiler sets. YMMV.
