It's a little strange, and I can't replicate it rebuilding the
lam-7.1.1-3 source RPM on our cluster with the Intel Compilers. It
isn't a huge issue, as the globus SSI module only looks at Fortran
compilers because that version of libtool always does a complete
compiler check.
Your build of LAM should be fine, but I'm curious what happened. Can
you send me the full output from the configure process as well as the
config.log from <top_srcdir>/share/ssi/boot/globus?
