When configuring LAM-7.1.1 on OSX with XLF support,, I get the following
warning:

checking for corresponding C type for REAL*16... <not found> (default to int)
configure: WARNING: Could not find corresponding C type!
configure: WARNING: ***REAL16 will not be supported

I have experienced a number of failures of my MPI-enabled fortran code and was
wondering whether
this might have something to do with it.
Has anyone been able to configure LAM successfully without this warning on a
G5?
