You may want to search for MySQL discussion groups regarding clusters,
and software on MySQL's website. In addition, I recall that there has
been some discussion recently on the beowulf list about clusters and
large databases. So you may what to search through the archives and see
what you can find:

In any case, those are probably two of many sources of information out
there on this, and they will be more able to address questions you may
have about this specific application domain.
