I wasn't aware that the built in rsh (or ssh if you define the
rsh_command) could only be used within an SGE environment so I'll
definately be looking into those posts of yours and I'll be looking
forward to a new HOWTO because, as you said, the current ones are
outdated.

I'm currently trying to configure an application called StarCD from
CD-Adapco to make use of our new setup with SGE. It basically is a large
shell script which handles everything, including the setup of the MPI
environment so I'll see if it's possible to start the MPI environment
with SGE and bypass the StarCD creation functions. (another application
we use, Abaqus, does the same thing so this could be interesting)
