Thanks for prompt reply.
I do not think the install is working properly as i cannot find any of the
lam executables like lamboot in any directory, i have done a find from the
root directory and found nothing. Is there a log or text file i can show
you that might give us a clue as to what is going on. Also is there
anything specific on Redhat that has be installed for this to work
correctly ( patches rpms's eg). Any ideas would be great.

Check the output of "make install" to see where LAM installed itself.
It probably installed itself to an alternate location. Unless an
explicit --prefix is mentioned on the configure line, LAM will look for
where the executable "lamboot" lives and use that as an implicit
--prefix.
So you should probably use an explicit --prefix=/usr/local argument to
configure.
You should also check to ensure that you don't have other copies of LAM
installed that would be used instead of the one you're currently
installed (e.g., I don't know of RH WS comes with a LAM RPM already
installed, etc.).
