There are several projects out there that can do this kind of thing,
and aren't really the baliwick of this list. You might want to do some
google searching on ask around on the Beowulf list.
Some projects to start you off:
- SLURM (Simple Linux Utility for Resource Management)
- Torque (a spinoff of Open PBS)
- PBS
- The Maui Scheduler can be used with PBS or Torque, and offers a lot
of flexibility in scheduling policies
