I don't know. I'm sure that no software system (to include
configure/build systems such as cmake) is perfect. The current system
(AC/AM/LT) is actually pretty stable. Bleeding edge systems (Solaris
10/Opteron) will always be problematic to support, regardless of the
configure/build system used (IMHO).
