Yes, that was one possible solution proposed by Sun. Gunter Roeth also
suggested not to set the LDFLAGS.

If I am correct, you suggest that the bug originates from libtools and
not from lam ?
I'll pass the information to Sun as I guess these libtools belongs to
Solaris 10 distribution.
Could we expect more stability across various platforms after using the
cmake ?
