hi all,
I have a 8-node parallel computing network all runing LAM/MPI on linux.
In the very beginning, I have spent more than three weeks in configuration
of environment. But the problem like user managment and applications
disturbition is still annoying me. For example, whenever I got a new
software, I have to install it 8 times! The most disgusting issue is that
when I add a new user account which can run LAM/MPI parallel computing, I
have to do some job for 8 times !!! Someone suggests that I should use NFS
and NIS in these cases. However, it is difficult for me to have an
additional computer as the server and I wouldn't like to do this on one of
the 8 computers. I wonder how you guy handle the such problem, please tell
me your experience.

BTW, now the problem is temporarily solved by utilizing the telnet as well
as the tcl-tk based 'expect'. I have written a group of programs to do the
job (e.g. user account managment) automatically. The program will handle
everything, however, I found that expect is not that stable and the program
will not always work.
