Yes, switch can do any of that stuff. Switcher is actually just a thin
layer on top of the most excellent (IMHO) "modules" package (although
the name "modules" is pretty overloaded these days ;-). The "modules"
package gives you the capability to setting, adding to, subtracting
from, or unsetting any arbitrary environment variable. So if you add
something like the following to the LAM modulefile:
append-path LD_LIBRARY_PATH /wherever/you/installed/lam/lib
You should be good-to-go (or prepend-path, if that's more appropriate).
