Hi,

Sorry fr he delayed reply. When I do

#ssh username_at_machinename echo $PATH

what I am get is the PATH variable from the local machine as opposed to
the remote machine. I think that the right syntax for this is to have the
single quotes around the command which needs to be executed. Are you sure
that you are not seeing the same PATH variable as your local machine??

Also, if this is the case, then I think the workaround is to change the
windows environment variable since this is a problem with windows/cygwin
if they are not executing the ~/.*rc file.
