Right. I'm not thinking that this will fix your seg fault. But IIRC,
the newest libtool grew better support for non-gnu compilers, etc. (if
memory serves, I think they updated for modern versions of pg, intel,
etc.).
So I still need that info that I asked for (run without the shmem coll
module, run through valgrind, etc.), but we might as well try to fix
this issue as well. :-)
