Symbols that begin with MPIR_ are traditionally in the MPICH
implementation of MPI -- a wholly different software package that is
totally unrelated to LAM except that we are both MPI implementations.
More specifically: you cannot mix and match these two software
packages. It seems like you are unintentionally doing exactly that.
Double check that you are getting the "right" mpicc, and that the
libmpi library that mpicc finds is LAM's library.
