RH 9 2.4.23-i4smp
LAM/MPI - 7.0.6

looks like it installed and got lamd running on one host:

jmurray 16125 1 0 15:34 ? 00:00:00
/usr/local/lam-mpi/bin/lamd -H 10.0.0.1 -P 43800 -n 0 -o 0

However when I try to ./configure in the
/usr/local/src/lam-mpi/lamtests-7.0.6

directory, I only get the following:
===================
3 of 4 tests failed
===================
make[2]: *** [check-TESTS] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/lam-mpi/lamtests-7.0.6/topo'
make[1]: *** [check-am] Error 2
make[1]: Target `check' not remade because of errors.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/lam-mpi/lamtests-7.0.6/topo'
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/local/src/lam-mpi/lamtests-7.0.6'
make[1]: Nothing to be done for `check-am'.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/lam-mpi/lamtests-7.0.6'
make: *** [check-recursive] Error 1
make: Target `check' not remade because of errors.

The directions on pg 38 show running ./configure as a non root user. Is
this really how it should be done?

any guidance appreciated and anyone out there using Aqabus?
