It does help, thank you. I have read the FAQ (and skimmed the
relevant parts of the larger documentation), but I will go back and
look at that section.

My only other cluster experience has been with LoadLever and
MauiScheduler (I am a CS student in Hawaii), and as such am used to a
more daemon/client approach.

So the next logical question is whether it is good practice to make
each user su to the lamd user prior to running their processes,
keeping in mind there will eventually be simultaneous processes?
