This sounds like a general problem with your serial code (reading bmp
images), and isn't really related to LAM and/or MPI. You'll probably
need to read the instructions for whatever bmp library you're using, or
the specs on bmp files in general (if you're not using a bmp library).
More specifically: this probably isn't the right list to ask questions
about bmp files. :-)
