Imran,
"lamboot" is trying to execute the command "hboot" which is another LAM
command. I had a similar problem to yoursd when we had a "hboot" bnary (not
the LAM "hboot") in a directory that was in my "$PATH".
Just before you call "lamboot", can you insert the command "which hboot", to
see which binary it is trying to execute?
Are you sure you have set up your "$HOME/.cshrc" and "$HOME/.profile" files
with the correct "path" and "PATH" variable e.g.
"PATH=/usr/local/lam/bin:$PATH; export PATH"
Regards
Neil
