My encounter: When issuing 'lamboot -v -ssi boot rsh lamhosts', the following
message was what I saw, indicating the directory <mailto:lam-yenjc_at_linux2>
lam-yenjc_at_linux2 cannot be removed. (This may have caused my encounting fatal
error in lambooting remote nodes when the stderr message shows up, which is
not allowed during lambooting). I compared the posted patch to the problem.
The tkill.c file seems to have fixed it. (Please confirm.) However, please
instruct the resolution. Thanks.

It seems that LAM was not able to remove a directory properly. This should
not happen, and will probably require manual intervention on your part.
tkill was trying to remove the following directory:
./lam-yenjc_at_linux2
when some error occurred. Perhaps the following Unix error message will
help:
Unix errno: 2
No such file or directory
This directory contains some internal temporary LAM files, and is safe
to remove. Please go remove it manually.
