That bus error makes me nervous... I bet we are doing something stupid
with the malloc registration code again. And since I notice you are
using the XL C++ compiler, I wouldn't be surprised if it's something
related to that.
I'm trying to get a real copy of the XL compilers (my 60 day trial has
long since expired), so it might take a day or two to get this one
figured out.
