Thanks Neil, when I trt to run the example in my
grid(8 machines with 2cpu each), I am getting the
error as, but right now I am using mpich, later I
need to install lam/mpi as well.
any idea why this error??, when I give -np 4 it
gives, illegal grid(2x3), is it looking for 3 cpu
machines??
#mpirun -np 6 -machinefile nodes example1
0 - <NO ERROR MESSAGE> : Could not convert index

The index may be an incorrect argument.
Possible sources of this problem are a missing
"include 'mpif.h'",
a misspelled MPI object (e.g., MPI_COM_WORLD instead
of MPI_COMM_WORLD)
or a misspelled user variable for an MPI object (e.g.,
com instead of comm).
