I can't comment on the performance expectations of channel bonding - we've
elected to use high-speed connections (Myrinet, IB, etc.) instead.
However, we have had numerous reports of reliability concerns with channel
bonding under Linux. You might want to try to get a small test setup to
make sure you aren't going to run into problems before you commit to the
real cluster.
