Excellent; we'll do this. Thanks!

I'd prefer not to release 7.0.7 unless we really have to, though. We're
really really really trying to get 7.1 out the door, and I'd prefer to
only do 7.0.7 if there's a serious bugfix required. Since you're
maintaining this patch in Debian for 7.0.6, would it be ok if we didn't
issue a 7.0.7 for this? If so, I'll put this in both the SVN trunk and
the 7.0 branch, and if we ever release 7.0.7, it'll be in there.

We had this conversation with the Mandrake folks a while ago as well. I
don't really want to change the name "wipe" in mid-series (i.e., in
7.0.x).

See the original thread from last year -- I outlined all my concerns with
changing our "wipe" command name:
http://www.lam-mpi.org/MailArchives/lam/msg06415.php

The end result is that we have agreed to change this in 7.1, and make a
sym link from "wipe" to "lamwipe" in this version for compatability.
Eventually, we'll drop the name/sym link "wipe".

Excellent catches -- thanks!

(these will be in 7.1 and 7.0.7 [if 7.0.7 is ever released]).
