Brian, Geoge and whoever mac OSX users:
I got burn using lam on Mac OSX fortran also. First, there is a precompiled
version of LAM7.0.5 using Absoft PRO Fortran. You may find it in Absoft site
http://www.absoft.com/Products/Clusters/lam_mpi.html
However this version was built with fortran options such as -YEXT_NAMES=LCS
and -YEXT_SFX=_. It means I have to use the same lowcase option in my
source code and created some problems for me. So I rebuilt it following
the same steps except those compiling options. The compiling went through
smoothly, but when I do recon -v lamhosts, it couldnot find the node in my
lamhosts, which contained only the machine where I launched recon command
from. Weird.....
I tried XLF compiler as well. FIrst I used no compiling options at all,
and it failed
somewhere in a no-man land, then I compiled it with -qextname (same as
-YEXT_SFX=_ in PRO fortran), and it compiled, but failed in recon
execution again.
So I guess, I haven't got this "simple" installation to work yet. Any one
can share
experiences?
