Since OS X doesn't include a fortran compiler by default, it didn't
make sense to build a binary image with fortran support (what fortran
compiler would we use?). However, LAM 7.0.5 has been tested with xlf
and absoft on OS X without problem. I would recommend building LAM
from source - it's really easy, just configure ; make ; make install.
There is even an Install Guide in PDF and PS format on the web page.
