Ganesh,
Don't forget you should include the addresses of all of the network interfaces
into the /etc/hosts file, not just the address of the "hostname".
e.g.
#hostname
xxxx
#netstat -i
Name Mtu Network Address Ipkts Ierrs Opkts Oerrs Coll
en0 1500 ctl xxxx-c 2428495 0 2538502 0 0
en2 9000 jumbo xxxx-j 4214064 0 955270 2 0
en3 9000 high xxxx-h 1860999 0 193135 2 0
en6 9000 sw xxxx 2982768 0 246370 3 0
lo0 16896 loopback loopback 2015400 0 2016570 0 0
You need to have 'xxxx-c', 'xxxx-j', 'xxxx-h' AND 'xxxx' in the /etc/hosts file,
NOT JUST 'xxxx'.
Regards
Neil
