We had a good conversation with the SGE Development Team about whether it
would be worth it to have a full boot SSI module for SGE environments.
We eventually came to the conclusion that it's a whole lot easier to just
do it in a script (this doesn't mean that we'll never have an SGE boot SSI
module; it just means that all things being equal, it's easier to
write/debug/maintain a perl script that effects essentially the same
functionality).
As cited elsewhere on this list, there is a web page on the SGE site for
script-based tight SGE integration for LAM 6.5.x.
They're currently working on updating that script for the 7.x series, and
hope to have it ready for public consumption in the near future. We'll
post here when that script is released.
