We used OSCAR (oscar.sourceforge.net) for a large cluster, and are
very happy with it. We installed with OSCAR v2.0 and rh7.3, but it
looks like OSCAR v2.3 supports rh9, rh8 and mandrake 9.

However once have the basic OSCAR system up and running you can build an
image of any sort you want and rsync it out to the nodes. eg. We have a
fedora core 1 image in testing at the moment, and it appears to work
with the rest of OSCAR ok so far.
