The error indicates that hboot is unable to find
$LAM-INSTALL/etc/lam-conf.lamd file. Please make sure that the LAM is
properly installed on all the nodes (just copying binaries or something
similar won't work), and you are using proper paths.
You can find more information on this error if you do a simple search in
lam mail archives.
