In case anyone else is interested:
I've setup a heterogeneous cluster composed of a Windows XP machine
running Cygwin version 1.5.5-1 with GCC version 3.3.1 and a Linux
machine with GCC version 3.3.1
I've managed to run a simple example which passes integer and character
tokens back and forward between the nodes of this cluster.
So it seems that it is possible to intercommunicate between Linux and
Windows XP using LAM MPI.
