Many thanks Jeff -

I guess I have the most recent snapshot tarball =>
lam-7.1a1cvs20031213.tar.gz

Configure is cool with the --without-romio option, but then there is a build
break during the make at laminfo. My guess is that laminfo
(/home/apps/lam-7.1a1cvs20031213.tar.gz./tools/laminfo..) for the cygwin
platform is the problem or am I missing something here -

Okay - will do a CVS checkout tonight UK-time, attempt a new build and get
back to you. Many thanks for the help.
