I'm working on compiling LAM code for amd64_linux24 machine. I see that
lam/mpi is released as a standard library on these machines (default
setup). I have my own updated version of lam/mpi I want to use. When I
call mpirun to start a child process, the child processes find lam code
in /usr/bin and uses that version. I tried using LAMHOME to set up my
path to my lam code; it works fine for parent process but child
processes still find lam in /usr/bin. When I update my .profile to put
my path in front of /usr/bin/, it works fine. How else can I get the
child processes to find the lam code in my path instead of /usr/bin?
Updating .profile is not an option for me since that would require all
my customer's user logins (.profile) to be updated.
