I am currently setting up the packages that are going to be installed on
some new Linux PCs here.
The question is : "what LAM release should I install?"
I understand there is a gap between versions prior to 6.5.9 and the
6.5.9. So I want at least 6.5.9.
Now, my users want to use XMPI. Apparently a beta version of XMPI 2.2.3
is available for 6.5.9 but : will it also work with LAM 7.0.2? If yes, I
will propose LAM/MPI 7.0.2 with the beta of XMPI 2.2.3 otherwise, is it
a big problem to stay at version 6.5.9?
Any input is appreciated.
