Hi Andrew -
Your error message is usually indicative of a much larger problem
somewhere earlier in the configure process. If you could send me the
config.log produced by configure, I can probably track down the
problem. As Nihar mentioned, we can't replicate your problem, having
tried on a couple of different 10.3 machines. There are a couple of
potential causes - one is that you are using a sed other than the sed
installed in /usr/bin. It's possible, especially if you have a sed
left over from a 10.2 install, that you have a broken sed install.
Anyway, I think the problem will be apparent with a look at the
config.log file. Since one never knows if the GNU auto tools are doing
something strange based on compiler, could you also let me know if you
have set the default compiler to something other than gcc 3.3?
Thanks,
Brian
