Thanks for the answer Jeff, but I have iptables disabled when I ran it.
I was testing and I realized this error when I did it outside the
lamboot
linsrv etc]$ lamd -H 10.1.0.10 -P 49110 -n 2 -o 2 -d
dli_inet (sfh_sock_open_clt_inet_stm): Connection refused
However, I don't have any firewals or anything... should something be
running on the client node to accept the connections?

If you get down to the "topology" part in lamboot and then it fails,
this
typically means that you have some kind of firewall running on one or
more
of your machines that is preventing arbitrary TCP socket connections.
Check to see if you have a firewall or other port-blocking software
running.
