Dear Robin

If you're having problems with Totalview, you could try DDT - an
alternative that works with LAM. Simply load DDT and let it start
your program for you. You may find it easier than Totalview. It can
be installed by a user (you don't need root access) and it's available
from http://www.streamline-computing.com
