Can you tell me on which node you are running the lamboot or recon??

I have a problem booting LAM: I'm (trying to) running LAM 6.5.1 on a Suse 8.2
cluster. If my bhost-file looks like
127.0.0.1
lilian3
lilian2
lilian1
recon -d bhosts succeeds on lilian4, while lamboot fails. Ok, understood,
don't use 127.0.0.1.
If my bhost-file looks like
lilian4
lilian3
lilian2
lilian1
recon and lamboot come up with
{wilde_at_lilian4}% recon -d -v lam_hosts
recon: opening hostfile lam_hosts
recon: found the following hosts:
recon: n0 lilian4
recon: n1 lilian3
recon: n2 lilian2
recon: n3 lilian1
recon: found addresses for all hosts
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
recon found that your local host is not in the hostfile "lam_hosts".
...
Result is the same when the lilian4 entry is replaced by its ip address
(192.168.1.4).
hostname etc. commands deliver
{wilde_at_lilian4}% hostname
lilian4
{wilde_at_lilian4}% uname -n
lilian4
{wilde_at_lilian4}% ifconfig eth0
