Before we go any further -- it looks like your source directory and
installation directory are the same (/usr/local/lam-7.0). This is a very
bad idea, and I suspect it may have smoething to do with the errors that
you are seeing. Indeed, I can pretty much guarantee that this *won't*
work, and it may lead to some of the problems that you're seeing.
I would *strongly* suggest that you delete this tree, extract a fresh
taraball, and either configure with a different prefix or extract the
tarball in the different location.
