Per my previous [corrected] e-mail, this is what we intended LAM's wrapper
compilers.

Sorry -- I was being lazy with my notation. The correct notation is
actually $includedir.

$includedir is the GNU Autoconf name typically given to the directory
where C header files are installed (see the Autoconf docs, section 4.7 --
4.7.2, in particular -- for a listing of all of these variables). Unless
you override it, configure typically defaults its value to
${prefix}/include.
