I'm assuming you mean Red Hat 7.2 :). Anyway, I'm not exactly sure
which version of glibc RH 7.2 supports, but RH 7.3 ships with 2.2.x, so
my guess is that your glibc has been updated. Unless this was done
correctly, you will see various failures in linking LAM applications.
LAM uses a wide variety of functions that glibc traditionally
implements at least in part through macros. If your header files and
glibc don't exactly match, you will see failures like the one above.
We really can't offer much advice on how to fix your problem, other
than to roll back to the glibc that shipped with RH 7.2. Linux
maintenance issues like this are beyond the scope of this mailing list.
