Never say never, of course, but I doubt that they are related to the local
tag problem.

There *shouldn't* be, a huge number of runs in a single universe is not
something that we have tested extensively. When you say "hundreds", do
you know if it's always the same number of runs that causes the problems?
(e.g., the internal tag number is overflowing and the lamd is not handling
it properly) Do you know about how many runs it takes before you run into
this problem?
