Subject: LAM: Cannot find -laio
It seems I am not the only one with this problem. I saw three more
messages without response about
this problem. When compiling with "mpicc" , I get the message:
/usr/bin/ld
cannot find -laio
Would anyone please address this problem? Thank you.
Jose J. Arreola.
Yes you're not the only one with problems ;-)
But that one is quite simple to solve... there a package
with RH, if you're using RH if not the packege should be there
as well, named xxxxlibaioxxxx (i just don't remember what the x's
are - but if you look for something called *aio* on you're linux
dist. disks you'll find out)
this package should be installed on your system. The libs are
missing that's why you get the error. Install the package and
you're problem disapears... if not!! the problem is with the
dinamic loader (ld) or something else related to that...
and, in that case i'm afraid i can't help!!
regards, nelson
P.S. i never saw a message without a response on this list!!!
