The mpiexec included with LAM/MPI is actually written in Perl and
requires the File::Temp library, which is included as part of the
standard Perl 5.6.1 distribution. Apple only ships Perl 5.6 as part of
OS X, so it is not available. Therefore, the binary installer does not
include mpiexec.
If you have a newer version of Perl on your machine (or install the
File::Temp library), you can actually grab the mpiexec out of a 7.0
tarball and it will work without change.
