The answer is, of course, it depends.
In older versions of LAM (pre-6.3.x), lamd was the default.
In newer versions of LAM, c2c is the default.
In the upcoming version of LAM (7.0 and beyond), we do away with the
distinction of c2c vs. lamd and you can choose any rpi compiled into LAM
(usually at least four - tcp, sysv, usysv, lamd) at runtime. The default
if not set at configure time will be tcp.
