I mailed this question a few days back and didnt get any responses. Can
someone please help me here.
I can boot lam on single machine using command "% lamboot".
However when I tried booting lam on more than one machine (machine names
are sparc8 and sparc9), it failed. The error message I got apparently meant
that lam failed to execute the command -
/usr/bin/rsh sparc8.cs.iit.edu -n hboot -t -c lam-conf.lam -d -v -s -I "-H
216.47.152.198 -P 33376 -n 0 -o 1 "
(where sparc8.cs.iit.edu is the second machine).
So I tried running "%hboot" on sparc8 machine by hand and got the following
error message -
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
hboot could not find the executable "kernel" in your path.
Things to check:
- Is "kernel" in your $PATH?
- Does your .cshrc/.profile set your $PATH properly?
The following Unix error message may be helpful:
Unix errno: 2
No such file or directory
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
What shall I do? What is missing in my PATH variable??
Thanks,
