Hi Karl,

We create 32 "search users", each of whom has his own lam
environment. We issue all lam utility commands via rsh/ssh
as the user we are working with for a particular job.

We control resource allocation to provide exclusive use of
nodes to users, or to allow sharing up to N processes per
node, depending on requirements.

Thus we can run 32 lam tasks concurrently without them
walking all over each other. This does of course require
that 32 lamd processes run on every beowulf node, perhaps
not an ideal solution, but until I have the time to rewrite
all the lam utilities from scratch it will have to do ;^)
