I will confess (or profess might be better?) to know very little about
complex network setups. You might want to post to the Beowulf mailing
list (beowulf_at_[hidden]) - the list has a larger audience, so you might
find someone able to help with your networking configuration.

Just make sure to specify that you are having trouble with rsh/ssh and
give some details on your network configuration :).
