The problem was not with LAM it was with my lack of network
installation knowledge. Suse, by default, does not run DNS.
Apparently this causes problems for LAM. Jeff held my hand
and walked me through the problem (at 2:00 AM no less) and got me going.
Thanks again Jeff!

I just prefer Red Hat because it seems to be becoming the
standard so it's less trouble to get things working.

I can't report either way, but I would be very suprised if there were
any
problems. However, I am equally suprised that there were problems with
LAM on Suse. Were your problems with LAM and Suse or some other part of
the OS? If the problems had anything to do with LAM, what were they?
Perhaps it is a straight-forward fix ;-).
