The LAM Team has released LAM/MPI 6.5.9. The 6.5.9 release fixes a number
of minor compile time issues, as well as some bug fixes in the Fortan
wrapper compiler. Specifically, the following changes were made since the
6.5.8 release:
- ROMIO builds on Mac OS X without extra flags
- File descriptor passing bug on AIX fix
- Fixed compile bug on systems without native snprintf()
- Add -I for Fortan (but not C or C++) if $prefix is /usr
- Allow --with-fc / $FC to pass compiler switches to mpif77, matching
behavior in C and C++ wrapper compilers
- Removed a number of "extern int errno" declarations
LAM/MPI 6.5.9 is available in both source tarball and x86 RPM RedHat 7.2
binary packages (for pre-GCC 3.0 releases). SRPMs are available for users
who wish to build for other environments (e.g., GCC 3.x environments).
In addition, new for LAM 6.5.9, a Mac OS X .pkg installer is available.
Enjoy,
The LAM Team
