Hello -
Due to a problem in the installation scripts, it was found that
LAM/MPI 6.5.1 would cause the removal the execution bits on all files
in $prefix/lib if LAM/MPI was built with ROMIO support. This could
cause serious problems if another package depended on a file in
$prefix/lib to have its execution bit set.
We have fixed the problem and released two new versions of LAM/MPI:
6.5.2 and 6.4a9. Source distributions as well as RPMs for these
versions are available at the LAM/MPI web site:
http://www.lam-mpi.org/
The only difference between 6.5.2 and 6.5.1 (and 6.4a9 / 6.4a8) is the
installation process. If you already have an installed version of
LAM/MPI 6.5.1 or LAM/MPI 6.4a8, there is no need to upgrade.
NOTE: LAM 6.4a9 is an experimental distribution and should only be
used by those who wish to use the IMPI extensions.
